Walking Together on the Healing Path: A Personal Reflection on Sacred Reconnections

Trauma can have a profound impact on our overall well-being, affecting not just our minds but our bodies and spirits as well. Finding the right path to healing is crucial, and that's where Sacred Reconnections Wellness Services comes in.

Medicine wheel teachings set up by an elder, traditional teachings
A beautiful setup by a beautiful elder, Doreen Delorme, at a traditional teaching I attended a few years ago.

When I began Sacred Reconnections Wellness Services, it came from a deeply personal place—a desire to offer healing in a way that felt true to who I am, to my roots, and to the communities I walk alongside. With a foundation in trauma-informed care and an Indigenous lens, this work is more than a profession—it’s a calling rooted in story, responsibility, and love.

At Sacred Reconnections, I offer psychotherapy, consultation, and supervision, guided by both clinical knowledge and cultural teachings. My background in couple and family therapy has shown me that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens in relationship. Whether you are walking your own path or supporting others in theirs, these services are offered with care, humility, and a deep respect for your journey.

But Sacred Reconnections is more than just therapy. It’s a space where we honour the mind, body, heart, and spirit. Through holistic classes, workshops, and retreats, I invite others into spaces of reconnection—where movement, rhythm, land, and story can help us return to ourselves and to each other.

One of the offerings closest to my heart is Natural Rhythms, a movement-based class that blends gentle yoga, mindfulness, and Indigenous wisdom. Born from lived experience and supported by my children’s creative spirits, this class helps people release what no longer serves them and remember the medicine they carry within. And soon, our holistic retreats will offer another layer of care—land-based, trauma-informed spaces where people can unplug from the noise and root back into what truly matters.

My work is rooted in a two-eyed seeing approach—honouring both Indigenous and Western ways of knowing. It’s also guided by a commitment to decolonization, which means continually unlearning systems of harm and making space for connection, ceremony, and community care.

While I may one day integrate scheduling tools and digital systems, for now, my focus is on creating personalized, intentional, heart-led care. Every person who reaches out is met with presence, not automation. I want people to feel held, not processed.

If you're longing for healing that feels rooted, relational, and real—Sacred Reconnections might be the place for you. Whether you're seeking therapy, community, or a space to breathe more deeply into your body and spirit, you are welcome here.

With gratitude and in good relation,

Trish Dupuis,
