A Bit About Me

With over 15 years in the wellness field, I created Sacred Reconnections Wellness Services to align more closely with my values and the kind of healing work I believe in—work rooted in relationship, authenticity, and holistic care.

As a woman of mixed ancestry—Cayuga (Haudenosaunee), German, and Métis (French & Algonquin Anishinaabe)—I’m deeply passionate about weaving a Two-Eyed Seeing approach into all of my offerings. This way of seeing honours the strengths of both Indigenous and Western worldviews, and invites us into deeper balance, understanding, and connection. I am continuously learning and "unlearning" in order to decolonize my ways of being in the world.

My professional foundation is in trauma-informed psychotherapy, specifically couple and family therapy, where I’ve had the privilege of supporting individuals, couples, families and communities through culturally sensitive and relational care. Alongside this, I am now offering supervision and consultation to other helping professionals—particularly those working in trauma-informed or cross-cultural spaces with Indigenous communities.

But my work doesn’t end in the therapy room. I’ve also been a Zumba instructor and am currently a yoga teacher (having completed my 200 hours of training back in 2018). These experiences, along with my personal healing journey, have shaped Natural Rhythms—a movement-based offering that blends gentle yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and rhythmic movement. This class supports participants in releasing limiting beliefs, reconnecting with their inner knowing, and deepening their relationship with self, land, and lineage. With the support of my children, I’ve even created a mother–daughter version of this offering.

Coming soon, I’ll also be offering holistic, trauma-informed workshops and retreats—opportunities to slow down, disconnect from the noise, and reconnect with the sacred, in natural and nourishing settings.

Outside of my work, I’m a proud mom to two incredible children who continually inspire and ground me. I share a home in a beautiful town with my partner, and together, we cherish outdoor adventures, long road trips, and the kind of freedom that comes from living out of our camper for stretches of time. Nature is where we return to ourselves—and I believe that healing, too, begins by returning to our true, authentic self.

I hold numerous roles in this wellness program including program therapist offering trauma informed, culturally sensitive, long term care to individuals, couples & families. I also provide supervision to some of our amazing staff. I also manage our intake co-ordination.

Private Practice

I have always managed a small private practice alongside my agency job providing similar services: trauma-informed, culturally sensitive therapy services to individuals, couples and families.

Movement Classes

My journey with movement began through teaching Zumba from 2011 to 2015, where I witnessed firsthand the joy and empowerment that dance brings. As my own path evolved, I pursued yoga teacher training, which I completed in the spring of 2018. During this time, I began offering prenatal and “mommy and me” yoga, inspired by my own pregnancy journey.

From there, Natural Rhythms was born—a class that blends intuitive movement, mindfulness, meditation, and Indigenous wisdom. Most recently, with the help of my children, I co-created a mother-daughter variation of the class to nurture intergenerational connection and healing.

These movement offerings are rooted in rhythm, bilateral stimulation, and somatic awareness, inviting participants to gently reconnect with their bodies and explore the deep interconnectedness between body, mind, heart, and spirit. Each class is a space to remember, reclaim, and awaken the sacred medicine within.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

In the spirit of reconciliation and the collective healing of Indigenous People and all Canadians, we acknowledge that we serve, live, and play on the First Nations lands of Treaty #8 and the home and land to many Metis and other Indigenous people (who may/may not identify with these treaties). We acknowledge the history of colonization that has occurred on their land, and we are dedicated to addressing the ongoing outcomes of colonial trauma through our work at Sacred Reconnections Wellness Services.

We encourage you to better understand the land that you live on and all its relations by visiting www.native-land.ca

All my relations.
